Zero Health Still Problematic

I don't know why I continue to play this game. I equate it to that show a few years back called LOST.  Did you see that show?  You know the part where someone has to keep pushing a button every 108 minutes or the world might end...only they don't really know WHAT happens IF they don't push the button?  They just keep pushing it out of habit.

That's like me and this stupid game.  My health drops to zero within thirty seconds of playing, which means I can't really go around battling other ships.  All I can do is attempt quests until my turns run out and collect my gold/gems from the shops I've "bought" on different islands.

And yet I continue to play. Oh, and if I had a dollar for every time I was about to collect my big GEM prize for checking in for five days in a row only to see the dreaded SERVER CAN'T BE REACHED error code (which also means the next time I log in to play, I've been booted back out to start the 5 consecutive day "collect your gems" quest) I'd be a gozillionaire.

Disney...are you paying attention?

Another Pirate Bug

Another bug. When I visit an island to do a quest, after completing ONE quest turn, it boots me off the island. I have to click on a flag again and go back to the quest. THEN I can keep repeating a quest until it is Mastered.

What's up with that?

Is POTC Buggy?

For some reason, when I log in now it only takes about two minutes and my Health points drop to zero.  Even if I don't use them for a battle. What's that all about?

When Money is No Object

I stumbled across something strange one night playing POTC. I was battling another ship that had special charms protecting it.  I kept doing damage to the ship each turn I took, which in turn, gave me experience points.

However, since the ship had purchased so many charms or whatever it had protecting it, it would never completely sink. I would attack, take SOME damage and so would the other ship.  So I would attack again.

Over and over I attacked and gained XP until my health would run out.  Then I would simply pay the 1500 gold or whatever it cost to repair my ship and start all over again. It was like a bug in the game.  I kept attacking and getting more XP but the ship just kinda stayed at the same damage level.

I ended up repairing myself from total damage probably 20 times before I finally ran out of gold. It was basically like I was just buying XP with gold.  I have never been able to find that situation again.

So heads up, if any of you run across that situation. You might as well spend all the gold you can gaining XP.  If possible, maybe you can write down the name of the ship and see if you can invite him to your crew. Then you can battle him at will.

Good luck.

Use Your Daily Gifts

It is so frustrating to have nearly 300 Crew Mates and every day I send out gifts and only get like, TWO back. Did everyone drop out of this game or what?

More Chests!

I have noticed there are more chests popping up in the water...FINALLY! I've opened up two back to back on a few occasions.  It would be nice if there was an easier to way to accumulate more gems, since it takes gems to buy certain objects that are necessary to complete quests. I mean, saving up 40 gems to complete one quest on an island is ridiculous when it takes me two weeks to get to 40 gems.

Hooray for Gift All Capabilities

It's about time. Trying to gift every single person individually was rediculous and WAY time consuming.  Now, with a few quick clicks, I can gift every single Crew / Friend out there.

Remember, if you don't see a gift that you like on the first offer, close out the gifts and reopen it. You'll get new options for gifts. Send armor or weapons. Don't send gold or energy. Big waste of time.

Sharing Strategy

For me, I login and go straight for the islands.  I deplete all my Energy as fast as I can completing quests.  I do this because most people gift Energy when they share the daily gifts with friends.

I would rather get Armor but hey, a gift is a gift, right? LoL.

After burning my Energy off, I cruise around and attack other ships until I run my Health down to Zero.

At this point, I've made about all the coinage I can (unless you have bought some taverns and such, then you will need to collect your profits). I visit the store and buy whatever gear I need.

Additional tips:

I avoid the floating treasure chests that require Gems to open them.  For me, they haven't paid off enough to make it worth my Gems.

When it comes to spending your points, I loaded up my Energy so that I could complete more quests quicker.  I figured the Attack and Defense would come as I gained more coins to buy them.

When giving gifts to friends, if the first set of gifts suck, click the X button to close the set of gifts and start over. When you click the Gifts button the second time, a different set of gift items should appear. You can keep doing this until you see the gift you want to give.

What's YOUR strategy?

Welcome to the POTC Droid Game Fan Site!

Thanks for stopping by.  You must be here because you enjoy the game as much as I do. After noticing the tons of comments being left at the app marketplace, I figured we needed a place to exchange codes and user names.

Check back often to get the latest codes, tips, tricks and user names to add to your crew!
